The Role-Playing Game
The Halcyon RPG is the result of a desire to create a completely
new and fresh role-playing that uses a completely new clean, efficient,
and realistic role-playing system. The objective of Halcyon is to
make an RPG available that is grittier, faster-paced, darker, and
more realistic than any other RPG offered by larger, more established
companies. Great effort is made to incorporate several different
genres into one gaming universe. While some RPGs will add the elements
of fantasy or magic to a cyberpunk or shoot-em up game, the goal
is for Halcyon to fully develop each genre that is integrated. While
there will undoubtedly be some similarities to other games, there
are many innovations within the Halcyon universe that are not seen
elsewhere.

The
original d-10 PRODIGY System is logic-based and allows
for quick resolution of even complex situations. Outcomes
are rapid and accurate.
In addition to including several beloved character races from
other fictional works, Halcyon presents the benevolent Nephilim
and the nefarious Cambion as playable races.
Five distinct realms of magic are set forth, as well as an
original system for playing and developing a magic-user.
Conflict between pure good (Crusaders) vs. evil (Thaumaturgists)
are presented in addition to other factions such as the Federal
government, foreign governments, megacorporations, organized
crime syndicates, anarchists, and free agents, as well as
countless guilds and independent organizations. |
While many fictional works loosely embrace a similar view of a dystopic
future, Halcyon has been written to develop major themes and concerns

cognizance about the ecosystem? |
To put it succinctly, Halcyon answers the question of, "If
every alarming trend in the world is allowed to continue, where
will we all be in 100 years?"
