Ever since the cataclysm, countless new species of beings have appeared throughout the world. It is still not known how many new races have emerged from the great chasms that were ripped open in the Earth's crust. While many races have established their own civilizations in the wilderness, most remain secluded either in the woodlands, mountainous regions, or in subterranean dwellings. Of the races that have been documented, all have been lumped into two broad categories: Earthspawn and Darkspawn.

Earthspawn
Earthspawn are any number of new species that have appeared on the Earth in recent history. Some are sentient beings that have displayed social structure, morality, and logic. These beings have had some success at interfacing with humans and exhibit various degrees of civility. Humans are included in this category, as they are considered to be the first original race to be spawned from Earth. Any of such Earthspawn may be played as a character and include Humans, High Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Nephilim, and Cambion.

The majority of Earthspawn consist of uncivilized, chaotic, violent, or animalistic beings. Such beings have been designated as a threat to national security by the government of the North American Consolidated Federation and are subject to termination. Foremost on the list of the most dangerous Darkspawn are Goblins, Orks, Trolls, Dragons, the reptilian Anunnaki of South America, all categories of undead, and demonic entities.

Human >>

Description: Until recent days, human beings were the only intelligent life forms on Earth. Even after the introduction of the numerous races of Earthspawn and Darkspawn, human beings still reign supreme and account for the vast majority of the world's population. Humans absolutely have home court advantage when compared to the emerged races. They control government, politics, military, and money. Belonging to the original race of earthly beings has several advantages that come with it. First, you are part of an inner circle that just happens to comprise 99.99% of the total population. You are allowed legal citizenship within any of the seven nations of the Global Alliance. Only humans are allowed to work for the government or military. Only humans could possibly be promoted to management within a megacorporation. In short, human beings are able to take the high road within politics and economics. Belonging to the majority race, humans are not susceptible to the prejudices and suspicions that surround metahuman races. Whether they are making their way through the streets or through high society, humans will encounter fewer social obstacles along their path.
Average Height: 1.8 meters
Average Weight: 75 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in tone from pale white to dark ebony.
Preferred Habitat: Most human beings prefer to live in proximity to mainstream society and inhabit the major cities of the world. A small minority of humans enjoy the peace and the isolation that the wilderness can provide.
Areas of Endeavor: Areas that may be pursued by humans are completely unrestricted. Jobs and occupations of humans are as varied as the personalities of the humans themselves.

High Elf >>

Description: The High Elves consider themselves to be the elites among the Elven races. This contention is not without merit. They hold themselves to the highest standards of ethics, morality, as well as cultural and intellectual advancement. Their society mirrors that of the European age of enlightenment that followed the Middle Ages. Even their unwritten codes of social conduct are indicative of centuries of refinement. Mannerisms of the typical High Elf are reserved and dignified, and their attire is meticulous - reflecting their passionate appreciation of aesthetic pursuits. In their native home, High Elves constructed marvelous civilizations that proudly exhibited architectural achievements while embracing a symbiotic coexistence with the natural environment.
Average Height: 1.9 meters
Average Weight: 72 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in tone from pale white to a moderate golden tan.
Preferred Habitat: High Elves most frequently make their home within great societies and prefer to dwell in majestic cities that have been constructed to emulate those of their homeland.
Areas of Endeavor: High Elves are concerned with nobility and honor and often pursue fields relating to the arts, sciences, or magic. They shun dishonorable occupations and criminal activity as it brings shame upon their race. Any High Elf that brings dishonor upon himself shall likely suffer total alienation from his kindred folk.

Wood Elf >>

Description: Wood Elves are highly individualistic and free-spirited folk. While they have a generally benevolent disposition, they have little use for the constructs of formal society. As a result of this view, Wood Elves are commonly being perceived as vagabonds, though this perception is not entirely accurate. They do not act in defiance of the law; they simply do not acknowledge that any law has dominion over their kind. Whether a given Wood Elf is nomadic or not, they prefer to live in temporary, portable encampments. Permanent structures are shunned as they prohibit free movement and impose isolation from the wilderness environment that grants them freedom. Likewise, they prefer to be unencumbered by material possessions and carry only those items that prove useful.
Average Height: 1.8 meters
Average Weight: 68 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in tone from to a moderate golden tan to a dark almond color.
Preferred Habitat: Wood Elves prefer the openness and freedom that the wilderness offers. However, it is possible to find those who dwell within camps or small towns. The confines of the city leave them with a sense of claustrophobia and prove to be too much for most Wood Elves to tolerate for any extended period of time.
Areas of Endeavor: Because they place little importance upon formal society, Wood Elves tend to be very pragmatic about their field of endeavor. The fields that prove most useful in the wilderness relate to trades as a ranger or an artisan, though shamans are very common among Wood Elves. Many prefer to deal with each other in terms of trade as opposed to using any form of money.

Dark Elf >>

Description: Dark Elves have earned a reputation for being the most nefarious of the Elven races. In the aftermath of an ancient war with the High Elves, the Dark Elves were driven off, exiled, and forced to seek refuge within the mountains of their homeland. The modern Dark Elf is a descendant of the disenfranchised and persecuted and most have inherited the bitterness and angst of their forefathers. Most still harbor a hidden resentment for High Elves. They have come to find solace in their isolation and still prefer the protective cover of darkness. An innate pride still prevails among their ranks as they patiently wait, while perfecting their crafts, for the day to come when the Dark Elves ascend from the darkness to claim their rightful place as a formidable race of people.
Average Height: 1.7 meters
Average Weight: 64 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in tone from dark charcoal to jet black.
Preferred Habitat: Because of their aversion to light, Dark Elves seek subterranean dwellings. Traditionally, Dark Elves will establish a home within caves. In modern times, they may take over an abandoned mine which they would develop to suit their own needs. There are also those who make their homes beneath the surface of great cities.
Areas of Endeavor: Most Dark Elves have no regard for honor or any structures of common society. They do not play by rules and are primarily concerned with how to further their own goals. Therefore, you will never find a Dark Elf holding down a traditional job of any sort. Their chaotic and free-spirited nature makes them better suited for either highly independent or illicit trades.

Dwarf >>

Description: Though short of stature, the race of Dwarves is comprised of proud individuals of exceptional physical ability. Their muscle tissue is quite dense when compared to that of a human. As a result, they are capable of great strength, as well as the ability to endure prolonged physical trials. The race is seemingly obsessive with regard to craftsmanship and engineering on a magnificent scale. Most will labor their entire lives to produce great architectural feats or wonders of engineering. Although cautious toward strangers, they are highly sociable and enjoy being generous and hosting celebrations. Dwarves tend to stick to their own kind, with an emphasis based upon building great subterranean communities. Thick, course hair covers much of their body and their skin has a ruggedness that makes it highly resistant to minor injuries.
Average Height: 1.3 meters
Average Weight: 62 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in color from pale white to a dark tan.
Preferred Habitat: The hearty and resilient Dwarf is comfortable in any setting, whether within a city, the wilderness, or a subterranean environment.
Areas of Endeavor: The Dwarf has a mind that is firmly planted in logic and science, and a body that is able to withstand grueling hours of hard labor in inhospitable conditions. Therefore, they tend to be most interested in pursuits that showcase great achievements in engineering and easily learn new crafts. It is rare that a Dwarf investigate any realms of magic.

Nephilim >>

Description: Among various writings, this ancient race has often been referred to as the heroes of old, the men of renown. Some believe that the Nephilim date back to the dawn of man, and are the offspring of titanic celestial warriors and human women. What is known is that these giant beings seem to exude the noblest qualities of both lineages. Most Nephilim are benevolent and mild-mannered. Though their bodies are hulking masses of great stature, their movements are graceful and precise. Their fair skin has a soft texture, yet is very resistant to minor injury. Since their emergence in the modern world, most Nephilim have shown little regard for the affairs of governments or corporations and seem far more intent upon engaging the vilest of enemies wherever they may be found.
Average Height: 2.2 meters
Average Weight: 140 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in tone from a radiant white to golden almond.
Preferred Habitat: Bestowed with great temperance, grace, and assuredness, they feel comfortable in any environment.
Areas of Endeavor: The Nephilim carry an intangible but deep-seated longing to lead a life of great significance. This longing outshines any desire to accumulate petty material possessions. Though many take the high road and become Crusaders, they will pursue whatever path they believe will make them capable of epic achievements.

Cambion >>

Description: The Cambion has quickly earned a reputation as a nefarious being, though this has almost entirely been based upon their menacing appearance. The skin seems to have the qualities of leather, only much thicker and tempered, as though under the skillful blow of a blacksmith's hammer. Skeletal structure is much heavier than a human's and some individuals have even exhibited hornlike protrusions. Due to the physical characteristics, many believe that the Cambion are part of an ancient race that was created by either an Incubus or a Succubus producing an offspring with a human being. Though they do seem to be outwardly diabolic, there has been no evidence stating that they are in any way malevolent or evil. Their personalities tend to be intense and detached, yet very much human in nature.
Average Height: 2.1 meters
Average Weight: 125 kilograms
Skin Coloration: Skin may vary in color from a light charcoal to dark pitch and contain various hues of red.
Preferred Habitat: They prefer the comfort of seclusion, wherever it may be found.
Areas of Endeavor: Cambion usually find it difficult to buy into any great cause and tend to focus on short-term pursuits. Traditional employment is unavailable and they typically have to resort to the sort of employment that makes use of their physical abilities.
